So far, it's been SO nice. I got a membership at the gym and I am hoping these extra 7 pounds will shed away. I don't remember having this much annoyance in losing the pregnancy pounds with Aaron. With Ella, the scale did a nosedive down 30 pounds and just flatlined after that. It hasn't budged in 2 weeks and it's quite frustrating to only have 2 pairs of pants that fit. Ugh. BUT I refuse to buy any clothes at this point. That's my motivation. Ha.

Aaron began "school" on Tuesday and did wonderfully! I was SO mad that I forgot to bring my camera! I'll take pictures tomorrow... Anyways, he didn't fuss at all and the teachers said he was very polite and well behaved all day. Sweet music to a Mom's ears!

My office schedule at the Church will be lighter this year and I'm quite glad about that. I still have a passion and heart for being involved on staff there, but I need to make sure my focus doesn't shift from being a Mother, first and foremost. It's nice to have 2 1/2 hours with just me and Ella Bear before we pick up big brother from school.

So that's that! It's been so delightful to wake up everyday and have a "plan" for the day. I just function so much better that way. :) Oh! By the way, Miss Ella slept 8 hours the other night! She has been doing 6 hours steadily then 4 hours after that for the past week. So, she is officially out of our bedroom bassinet and sleeping her crib every night. Also, it just happens that both children nap from 1:30-4 so I get a silent house for 2 1/2 hours most days. Ahhhh...

Another note: Aaron's birthday is coming up next month and I'm trying to decided what to do? We are heading to Sea World with Opa and Oma that weekend, but I love giving my little man a party with his friends. We've done the Gymnastics Sports Center and that was SO nice. I'm not a fan of Mr. Gattis or Chuck-E-Cheese (giant casinos for children that make them bounce off the walls or scream and run from the huge rat...) and the Jump Around is just not very clean looking! Any other ideas? Can't believe he will be 3!!!! Ahhh!!!

  1. oh man. I can't wait. For most of this. Working out again, losing pregnancy weight (more than 7 lbs though...) and more!, getting into a routine, having Jude sleep through the night, having him in his crib, etc. Live it up, girl! See you at the gym... in a couple more weeks!

  2. I love a good schedule too!! A friend of mine just had her sons 4th birthday and they went somewhere to look at all kinds of creatures... snakes, lizards, etc, everything up a little boys alley. It was in San Angelo but I can ask her and maybe there is something similar here?
