Whever Happened to Happy Endings?

Seriously! The past 4 or 5 Movies that I've seen have had the worst endings! Either everybody dies or the main character goes crazy or the two people that are hopelessly in love and meant for each other don't end up together. It's really getting on my nerves. Maybe I will write to all the major movie companies in the world and give them my basic outline of "The Perfect Movie".

1) The first scene captures your attention with an evil scheme, a blossoming romance or untimely death.

2) The 1st Conflict: Something has to happen where it seems like there is no way around an unfortunate ending!! The damsel is in distress and the heroic lover comes at JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT!!!

3)The Break: A slower scene after all the intense drama and action (popcorn break, sappy love song, etc.)

4)Conflict #2 (I will give the writers freedom here...but a few suggestions)
option a: the evil villian that we thought was dead shows up unexpectantly
option b: the damsel gets in distress again...those silly damsels....
option c: sickness falls on the adored prince charming

5) Resolution: a romantic and happy resolve to conflict #2

6) Ending:
Action-A new threat arises and a second movie is hinted at
Romance- The man expresses his undying love for the fair lady and they ride off together in the sunset....or they go out to eat or something....

There. The Perfect Movie Outline. *sigh*

Gentle!

Aaron's cutest Word of the Week is "Gentle"...or as he pronounces it, "DenDuuuul!"
Naturally, as a boy, he can be a little rough without realizing it. I decided to teach him "gentle", after watching him attempt to pull out a cat's eyelash. It seemed like the right time. :)
So now, being "gentle" has become a sign of affection from my sweet son. In the mornings, I get him out of his crib and bring him to our bed. Then, he crawls over to Thomas and lightly pats him on the face while saying the Word of the Week. "denduuuul!"
This morning, while I was cleaning the kitchen, I overheard his voice from the living room repeating his version of "gentle." I peaked around the corner and had to hold back a laugh when I saw him petting the TV screen during an episode of Veggie Tales. He was being "denduuul" to Bob the Tomato. It was adorable!!

First Blog (dun-da-Dun!)

Well, here I am! I figured, hey, I think alot and I talk alot...so why not write about it?
Today is an absolutely gorgeous day and we are about to leave to take a picnic to Nelson Park. Aaron has no idea yet, but I am charging my camera to make sure I capture that moment when he sees that there are ducks. He is in love with ducks.
That's basically all I'm thinking about now....Picnic. Park. Sandwiches. Cheddar & Sour Cream Chips. Watching Aaron get chased by crazy ducks. Laughing at Thomas attempting to make a fishing pole out of a fork and string.....
That's pretty much a day at the park with the Humphries clan. :o)
