August seems so far away.....

So....we were going to wait until after Christmas to break the news, but after the whole hospital-stay thing, news travels fast! WE'RE PREGNANT! Yay!
Due date is August 4th, but we will probably have a scheduled C-Section end of July.
We found out the day before Thanksgiving and when we told Aaron that "Mommy has a baby in her tummy", he lifted my shirt and said, "Not here!". :) Then, we asked him if he wanted a brother or sister....he thought for a second and answered firmly, "A friend!" Oh so sweet...

I have a Dr. appt on Thursday to do another sonogram. I've been sick as a dog for several weeks now. December 4th was the last day that I actually kept a meal down. Since then, I have lost 11 pounds, upchucked 500 gazillion times and chugged two 6-packs of purple gatorade. I had a REALLY good day yesterday (Sunday) and ate two crackers with chicken salad on them! (and kept it down) Today was OK. I woke up feeling a bit queezy, but refrained from taking my meds. (They knock me out all morning and don't really help) I took advantage of my sudden burst of energy and caught up with the laundry, dishes, etc....all that stuff that piles up when Mommy is sick. Anyways, I took my meds (Don't remember how it's spelled, but it sounds like "fenigrin") and took a nap this afternoon while Aaron slept. That was nice. Tonight I'm back to puking and telling my husband to lay off the cologne again. Everything SMELLS!!! I mean...STRONG! ugh. I wasn't sick one day in the 40 weeks of pregnancy with Aaron, so I'm betting on this one being a sweet little girl. Who know, though.

But speaking of Thomas, I must say this: He has been my knight in shining armor these past few weeks. He has worked tirelessly to change dirty diapers (potty traing is on hold...haha), get Aaron dinner, give Aaron a bath, put Aaron to bed, run out to the store for Ginger Ale, Ginger Tea, Ginger Snaps, Lemon chillers, etc... He has been AMAZING. He even insisted on staying with me at the hospital when they stuck me in there for bad dehydration. Yes...he slept on those dreaded blue hospital chair/bed thingys. He was a trooper. AND!! Didn't even ask to watch sports while we were there! LOVE YOU T!

Anyways, we are really excited and blessed to have another little one on the way. Like I said in the title, August seems SO far away...but hopefully will be here soon. :)

Thanks for your prayers and your encouragement!

  1. If he has not already prescribed it get on Zofran. It is a miracle pill for naseau. It saved me. Congrats on your precious baby!
